Quite a while back I received a Eee PC from my work from Asus. out of the box it came with a decent homegrown variety 0f Linux optimized for the Eee platform.

Windows 7 Pro en route… I think?

Yesterday I got the joyous news that my copy of Windows 7 professional (UK edition) is finally shipped and en route to me. I was advised that the copy could take up to 15 days to arrive.
The nice people of Microsoft even got me a tracking ID so I can see where my Windows 7 copy is at the moment. Now I can see why.
Buying a new computer
yes, it’s finally going to happen… soon. It’s been on the waiting list for more than 2 years now. (That’s how long I’ve been postponing it) It becomes more and more of a requirement than a luxury option; my machine is almost seven years old now.
