Today the internet seems a bit less shinier. It is most likely due to the fact that Wikipedia, WordPress.org and several other sites put their websites to dark in protest to SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act). If you have no clue what I am talking about you need to do some viewing.
Not only does SOPA hurt the free internet but also violates a couple of principles, which are core to a free and democratic society: freedom of expression and the presumption of being innocent until proven guilty.
