In my fervour over Windows 7 on my Eee PC I’d almost completely forgot to mention that yesterday I sold my little Starlet. A car that has served me well for the last 5 years. A car I almost drove 130.000 km in.
It’s funny how you can get slightly sentimental over an inanimate object like a car. But then again it is part of your daily life for 5 years, going to and getting from work, vacations, outings. And often cars seem to develop a personality. The little quirks, the flaws, the scratches. They are not perfect, just like people. Perhaps that’s why folks identify themselves more with their cars than with other tools and equipment.
Anyhow, the Starlet era is over and the X-trail era has begun. I will think fondly of the Starlet as I am driving in this luxurious beast of a car and hope it will have a long life with its new owner.
