It’s gone, it’s done and over with. The LAN party that lasted almost an entire week has ended. Everyone is back home, the living room is back to normal and work starts tomorrow. Life can turn back to normal now.
I know it seems ridiculous to be having a computer party with friends for 6 days in a row but it’s good fun and for me personally a good relief for a lot of stress from all the hard work and problems I’ve encountered the last 2 months. I might not have slept a lot in this period, so I cannot say I am ‘rested’ but I am sure a lot more relaxed than before.
Starting tomorrow I can start planning ahead again, for the arrival of the kitchen, how to deal with the leakage and busted rain pipe (nice surprise I got today) and getting the computer room finished.
The last few weeks have been in the light of getting my home into liveable shape. Lots of removing wallpaper, filling holes, sanding walls, painting ceilings, putting up wallpaper and putting down floors. Some of it was done by suppliers, but the majority of the work was done by me, Megan, my mom and dad and various friends that helped to the extent of their capabilities.
A person celebrates his birthday with his silly friends and a Playstation 2 with Singstar. What can happen? Well… I am not going to go easy on your ears. Watch it yourself. :p
