Quite a while back I received a Eee PC from my work from Asus. out of the box it came with a decent homegrown variety 0f Linux optimized for the Eee platform.
X-trail: the new car
Yes, I am now the proud owner of a Nissan X-trail. This morning I went to the post office to put the car in my name. The 3 minutes it took to sign over ownership does no justice to the immense elated feeling I am experiencing.
I am at work now, but I have some trouble staying focussed on my tasks. I can’t wait to drive it home again. 😉
Shockingly Big IE6 Warning: a Wake-up Call
Sometimes you come across something interesting on Twitter, like this “Shockingly Big IE6 Warning” plug-in. All it does is give you a warning when you are still using IE6. The plug-in features various display options and can actually make the IE6 browser crash. (Don’t be using that, boys ‘n’ girls; it’s unethical)
Anyway, since I had to rant on how IE6 should just die already, I thought I’d install it and put in my small effort to the cause. 😉
Trading in my Starlet for an… X-trail?!
Can this be right? I am trading my cute little Toyota Starlet in for an X-trail? Well yes and no. I am getting the X-trail (in the most literal sense of the word “getting”) and I have a Starlet I need to get rid of (because having 2 cars is too expensive for me).
So how did this all come to be.
Fun at the Efteling
Last weekend we had a company outing. Like 3 years ago they managed to get the Efteling, the biggest theme park in the Netherlands, to open doors before the official start of the season. About 10.000 employees, business relations and their families were allowed to have an early treat.
