I’m not sure what’s up but the last few days my blog has been overrun by spam. Akismet is running overtime and its catch rate is dropping steadily.

Traffic is really starting to grind my gears lately. Yesterday I was stuck in a traffic jam where I was standing still in one spot for over an hour. The reason was an accident which involved multiple motor vehicles which blocked off 3 lanes (of the 4 or 5 available). Today I check traffic radar and discover the motorway to work is completely blocked off again because of yet another accident.
If you know me for some time you will be aware of a keen interest I have in firearms. I’ve always had something with them, albeit a passive interest most of the time. This is now about to change: me and Ivan (friend of mine) decided to sign up with the local gun club last Friday.
Today I walked into the man’s room at work and was confronted with the following scene. I LOLed.
I am currently working through the 3rd cold I’ve gotten this year. Getting colds is now definitely getting on my nerves. I hardly ever got sick in the past but now I’ve had 3 cold and 2 separate cases of flu. It’s starting to get very annoying.
As a result I had to cancel a visit to my parents who will be leaving on vacation sometime today or tomorrow because I didn’t want to risk ‘spreading the joy’ before their holidays. I won’t be seeing them for a few weeks now.
On the bright side, I am definitely on the mend. I can breathe with reasonable ease through my nose and are not suffering massive headaches from congestion or neck pain from sneezing. Let’s hope this just ends quickly and stays away from me for a long, long time.
