Aside from it being my birthday today, it is also day of the System Administrator. Today is the day that we should pay special attention to our system administrators.
This might sound ridiculous to all, but then you probably do not know who your system administrators are.
System Administrators are the people that work behind the scenes making sure your experience on the web or in the office is as good as can be. They are the invisible force that keeps all the computerized systems working (and working together). They are often treated as the social outcasts, the freaks and nerds, the untouchables and the enigmatic. And most people will not really deal with them until something breaks.
In order to honor those who will brave the stigma of “system administratorship” and deal with the social isolation some of them endure (or enjoy ;)) the day of the System Administrator was called into existance.
Now it is my turn to honor the people, who on a daily basis do their work and keep the internet together. 😉
