Dimmu Borgir’s latest album “In Sorte Diaboli” is out now. Unlike some pussy bands that would rather fight youtube (thus effectively swimming against the waves of the ocean) Dimmu released their latest video clip there. The song: The Serpentine Offering.
Seeing the video for the first time I was rolling my eyes initially because I had the feeling it was going to be a bit corny but when Mustis hit the first chords a shiver went down my spine. By the time the guitars come into play I am already almost euphoric. The sound of Vortex’s vocals move me in a way only Dimmu can. In one word: awesome.
This song is 100% Dimmu Borgir; you can just feel the vibes and taste the blood on your tongue as you hear the song progress. It leaves me compelled to listen to the rest of the songs.
On a personal note I am glad that Hellhammer seems to fill in Nick Barker’s spot just fine. I must admit I had my doubts for a while, simply because Nick Barker is such an awesome drummer but Hellhammer has definitely proved to be on par.
