Fenrir: Welcome to the Family

As of last thursday we have a new member of the family: an 8 week old male Rotteiler pup named Fenrir.

Fenrir received his name based on its origin. Fenrir comes from the Norse mythology and is portrayed as a giant wolf and – more importantly – is the son of Loki. It’s a nice, strong name for a puppy that we hope will grow up to be a big, strong Rottweiler. He also take to Fenrir on another account: he loves to (play-)bite your hand.

Today we said goodbye to my dog and loyal friend, Loki. After meeting with the veterinarian today euthanasia was the only option left with all the problems he was suffering from.

We adopted Loki in 2004 at the age of 4 around the birthday of Megan, after a search for a Rottweiler for adoptation. We found Loki at the pound in Zoetermeer, where he’d been for a long time; before than he spend almost a year in the pound in Rijswijk. His cute little panda-eyes and his playful character made him an easy choice.
