Yes! Megan has finally returned from the States and I am overwhelmed with joy! It was a bit of a trial, since we never been apart for more than a weekend ever since we moved in together. In hindsight I can say that regardless of how I coped being apart I didn’t like it one bit.
Unfortunately as things are right now, she might be going back in a week or three. About 2 days before she flew back her dad had what appears to be a mini-stroke again. This send a shockwave through everyone; although it was very minor and no permanent damage was done the uncertaintly of the situation hit everyone like a brick in the face. This is on top of the fact he has been feeling sick off an on for the last 2 weeks and it really doesn’t help.
I sincerely hope that things change in such a way that Megan doesn’t have to go back to take care of her dad… or worse. Even though I’d support her, I don’t like being apart for weeks or months on end.
I wonder how much of this year is going to be in the theme of trials of endurance.
