Ghost Hunters

Ghost HuntersOnce in a great while a TV show comes on my path that will utterly hook me. This time it is Ghost Hunters, a TV series from the Sci-Fi channel. This program views the paranormal pretty much the way I look at it; down to earth.

People close to me know that I am a pragmatist when it comes to the paranormal; I am not a spaced out hippy that will cling on any small shred of supposed evidence of the supernatural but at the same time I disapprove the dismissing attitude the majority of the science community seems to categorically deny anything beyond the known science, ignoring the fact that there are things unexplained.

The way this program deals with science is just that; to disprove and debunk until you have that little bit left there is simply no explanation for. The program shows a very down to earth approach to investigate claims of the paranormal. Evidence is weighed on the solidity of the evidence, often looked at from the point of view from a critic. In the end they search for truth, not proof.

If there is a downside to the show, it must be the fact the series starts of with a lot of drama. Probably not as bad as OCC but still enough to make me go ‘hmmm’.

All in all, it’s an interesting series to watch. If you are interested in the supernatural and are looking for truth rather than proof this warrants a recommendation.
