Today a roof repair man showed up to check out our problem. He has found some small hole in the roof that might have caused the leakage. Hopefully this was the cause of all the misery we (Megan and me) had to endure the last week. I need to call the insurance company to what’s next but most important is that my walls will no longer be weeping.
The last week has been particularly stressful. Where we only had a small issue with moisture at the end of last year we now have a full blown leak in our living room. To make matters worse it has been raining a lot and it won’t stop for a while.
When shit goes wrong it tends to do this for me on epic scale. Today everything seemed to go awry.
It started with a few setbacks at work, which were a bit meh but nothing I can’t handle but are just a nuisance. It’s one of those days you feel like you are dragging around a dead horse.
I am finally on vacation. The truth is that I didn’t realise how much I needed one until I was on my second day where the alarm clock had no power over me.
My body has done some serious unwinding in the last couple of days. I still feel a bit tense and my head throbs from my tight neck muscles but I am in a position where I can just relax them.
Yesterday it dawned on me that the end of summer is soon upon us. Reflecting on the last 2.5 months I really wonder what I have done in that period that is “summer-like”. The answer eludes me.
