When shit goes wrong it tends to do this for me on epic scale. Today everything seemed to go awry.
It started with a few setbacks at work, which were a bit meh but nothing I can’t handle but are just a nuisance. It’s one of those days you feel like you are dragging around a dead horse.
Parenting can be hard, or so I keep hearing, but most of it however seems like common sense. Apparently common sense is a bit too much to ask for some people. Such is the case with the folks in the following photo gallery; they seem to fall short on insight skills. Kudos to David for sharing these with me.
On a side note, I am slowly starting to work on some things to change my blog. Since the release of WordPress 3.0 it’s possible to host multiple blogs with one install.
I am planning on making a second blog, which will look a lot like this one. The major difference is that blog will have a complete Dutch focus (and yes, will also be in Dutch). There’s so much stuff going on in my own back yard that I want to vent on but it seems silly to write to an English audience about.
As such I’ve started researching how to modify my current theme to be up to date to support the current theme standards and better support internationalization. It involves cleaning up my code, messing with CSS and playing with Cufon to generate titles and subtitles which are now static images.
hopefully I will be able to finish this on short notice. The biggest hurdle will be not to be distracted by my many other hobbies.

I’ve not been very active keeping my blog up to date recently. Lots has happened. My sister’s bone cancer operation, the health issues with my father-in-law, my repeated illness (2010 has become year of the common cold for me). Most of which wasn’t very positive.
Now I have something to share that is very good news: I am in the process of buying a house.
A friend of mine commented on Twitter that her speakers had died after coming back from a road trip. The way she worded it, I had a TellSell ad forming in my head. It goes a little something like this.
